Welcome to the Wailuku Neighborhood Parking Permit program, tailored exclusively for residents located on or near Vineyard Street and Church Street in Wailuku. With the addition of the new Wailuku Garage, set to open soon, this initiative aims to offer you a convenient alternative for secure and convenient off-street parking.
The County of Maui is pleased to offer you FREE overnight parking in the new Wailuku Garage. This parking facility is open from 5 am to 11 pm, seven days a week. Only those with a Neighborhood Parking Permit will be able to park after hours. Initially, parking will be free, but potential fees may apply in the future, pending approval by the Maui County Council.
To qualify for a Wailuku Neighborhood Parking Permit, you must reside within the residential boundary on or near Vineyard Street and Church Street in Wailuku (refer to the map).
Select the permit type as either ‘Neighborhood Parking Permit’ or ‘Neighborhood Parking Permit - Low Income.’ The latter applies only if you qualify; click here to learn more.

Will I be charged for overnight parking once my free parking expires?
Currently, a neighborhood parking permit is free in the Wailuku Garage. Once rates go into effect, you will be notified, and the parking system will offer an option to enroll in autopay for automatic permit renewal. Opting out means you won't be charged.
I entered my Credit Card information, will it be saved?
Yes, your credit card information is saved under your profile.
